It is a heaven for travelers who seek for crystal-clear sea, sparkling white sand, and also coral reef observation by snorkeling or scuba diving. Besides, there are other interesting spots especially a brand new one like “Samed Ngang Shee” that should not be missed. Now, let’s see and enjoy the jaw-dropping beauty of each sights.

1.Similan Islands National Park

“Similan” in Yawi or Malayan language, means nine islands (Mu Koh Kao). The park is nearly 140 square kilometers with islands’ area about 15 square kilometers. There are 9 islands like what its name: Bon, Bangu, Similan, Payu, Ha, Miang, Payan, Payang, and Hooyong. Moreover, they are admired by an American magazine “Skin Diving” for being in top 10 the most beautiful islands (both on the land and under the sea) around the world.

2.Koh Miang

It is the second biggest island after Similan and where the national park office located. The highlight attraction on Koh Miang is the beach which consists of stunning white delicate sand. Many extraordinary animals can be sighted here too such as hairy leg mountain crabs, Hermit crabs, or Nicobar pigeon.

3.Samed Ngang Shee Scenic Point

A brand new sightseeing opened in Phang-nga that tourists are able to appreciate the attractive Phang-nga bay from dawn to dusk. The word “Samed” is come from “Med” in Thailand+$$$$$!s South dialect which means rolling sarong up or raising sarong. There was a story about this word that the water tide in a canal located in the area often rode up and down, so when monks and female ascetics (Shee) needed to pass the canal, the monks directed the female ascetics to roll sarong up a bit so they can across to the other side. It became the name “Med Ngang Shee” and then the sound was distorted to “Samed Ngang Shee” which is used till today.

4.Koh Ta Chai

This island has been explored a long time ago but it is just recently operated by the Similan Islands National Park, then later opened for tourists to admire this amazement. According to these reasons, there is no guest house or home stay on the island however, the national park particularly allows tourist to set their tents up for staying overnight. Also, there are male and female toilets that the national park is provided for travelers. Koh Ta Chai is not quite a big island but surrounded by white beachline and many deep sea diving spots which are filled with colorful soft corals, giant sea fan, and various fishes.

5.Surin Islands National Park

It consists of 5 islands: Surin Nur (North Surin), Surin Tai (South Surin), Ree, Kai, And Klang. The islands are located in Andaman sea heading the North-West of Thailand, near the borderline between Thailand and Myanmar. They are occupied with shallow water coral reefs that is perfect for snorkeling.

6.Koh Khai Nok

It is a small island which is a little bigger than Koh Khai Nai. Most of tourists prefer to visit Koh Khai Nok because there are many restaurants; and tour companies in Phuket like to take their customers for a day trip here too.

7.Koh Ra National Park-Koh Prathong

These islands are featured from sea shore collapse locating on the west of Southern part, in Phang-nga province’s area covering in Amper Kuraburi and Takua Pa. Ra islands is famous for forest hiking since it has a very abundant tropical rain forest and sea diving spot which is able to see red-purple sea fans. Pra Tong island is the 5th biggest island in Thailand which has a rare golden grass field (one of the Unseens in Thailand) located in the center of the island.

8.Ao Phangnga National Park

The park is plentiful with customary mangrove forest which expands from Amper Meung Phang-nga to Amper Takua Tung including to the area near Andaman sea. There are 42 islands spreading in the bay for example Kao Tao, Pra Ard Tao, Maprao, Boi Noi, Boi Yai, Rayaring, Panak, Hong, Panyee, or Kao Ping Kan.

9.Khao Lak - Lam Ru National Park

The geographical feature of the park is complex mountains that are Lak, Lum Roo, Saeng Tong, Mai Kaew, and Plai Bang Toh. They are the source of two significant rivers in Phang-nga province: Phang-nga and Takua Pa. With a great richness of environment, a lot of exotic animals live in this area such as tapirs, tigers, chamoises, monkeys, langurs, gibbons, deers, barking deers, wild boars, black bears, and various species of birds.

10.Koh Yao Noi

The most attractive thing which travelers love and want to come back to this island every year is a peaceful atmosphere like being in the cradle of mother nature.
