Sulbing Korean Dessert Cafe

Aren't you craving for something sweet or cold? Since Thailand's weather is scorching hot, Sulbing is the perfect place for you. This cafe is well-known for their bingsoo it is a type of dessert which is originated from Korea, it consists of shaved ice usually milk-flavored and topped with a variety of toppings like red bean, strawberry, melon, chocolate and it only costs 200-400 baht. Why fly to Korea when there is bingsoo in Thailand. Not only they sell bingsoo here but they also sell rice cake and smoothies. These rice cakes are otherwise known as “ttoek”. It's new set of menu had recently came out which is the strawberry festival. For strawberry lovers this is a must-try. It is bingsoo topped with strawberry but made in many ways. One of the new menu is bingsoo and strawberry in the shape of cake and there is actually cake inside it too. From all of the places that sell bingsoo, Sulbing is the only place that has this type of bingsoo made. But when I personally went they weren't ready to sell yet so I only had a chance to try the Premium Fresh Strawberry bingsoo. The price of it was 385 baht which is approximately $10-11.

This cafe uses self-service so we would have to go get what we have ordered ourselves. They would give us a circular device which vibrates when our order is done we would have to go and pick it up. The strawberry bingsoo was served with condensed milk and a strawberry sauce. We would have to pour them on the bingsoo to make it taste even better. It increases the sweetness of the dessert, the taste is just heaven. I went with 2 of my friends we barely finished it. One order is a lot so they recommend one serving for 3-4 people. This cafe had it's first branch Siam Square soi 11, now it has spread around Bangkok with 6 branches now one on the G floor of Gateway Ekamai, another on the 3rd floor of Central Plaza West Gate, Glass house Ratchada, Thonglor soi 10 and at Sukhumvit 12 (Korean Town). Most of these shops are close to BTS which is really convenient.
